As you would have guessed that it has been a very long time since I have posted anything on any of my blogs. I was busy with freelancing and some project that I am working on. I will blog about it once it is released for the public hope fully by 9th May.

I think that everyone would know about the Yahoo Widgets. During the exams I wrote this Widget caled “CPU Cogs” that would look like Cog Wheels and will rotate on the basis of the system usage. So I made it and uploaded it on the Widget Gallery. So when I visited the gallery today, I saw that it had already been accpted and had been downloaded 677 times. Check out the CPU Cogs 1.1.

Winterbells

I found this really addictive game on the internet. Actually the link was given to me by Vivek a long time ago but I kind of lost it. So I found it again today. In this game there is a rabbit whose direction of movement can be decided by the mouse. One collecting the bells you go up and get point an on thouching the bird your score doubles. Really nice game you must check it out on Winterbells : Rabbit Jumping.

My Dad told me to make a small library of JavaScript functions that I would require from time to time. So I started writing it, here is where it has reached now :

function gebi(id){
return document.getElementById(id); //Just Retruns the Object
}

function toggle(){
var status="";
for (var i = 0, j = arguments.length; i < j; i++) { //Array for the number of arguments
if(!gebi(arguments[i])) return; //Return if the object does not exist
if(gebi(arguments[i]).style.display==null) return; //Return if the object does not have a display property
var isDisplay = (gebi(arguments[i]).style.display == "") ? "none":""; //If it is being displayed then dont and if otherwise then display it
status += isDisplay+" "; //Stores the status if the element
gebi(arguments[i]).style.display = isDisplay; //Changing the actual Style
}
return status; //Return the status of the elements
}

function show(){
for (var i = 0, j = arguments.length; i < j; i++) { //Array for the number of arguments
if(!gebi(arguments[i])) return; //Return if the object does not exist
if(gebi(arguments[i]).style.display==null) return; //Return if the object does not have a display property
gebi(arguments[i]).style.display = ""; //Hide it
}
}

function hide(){
for (var i = 0, j = arguments.length; i < j; i++) { //Array for the number of arguments
if(!gebi(arguments[i])) return; //Return if the object does not exist
if(gebi(arguments[i]).style.display==null) return; //Return if the object does not have a display property
gebi(arguments[i]).style.display = "none"; //Show it
}
}

function kill(){
for (var i = 0, j = arguments.length; i < j; i++) { //Array for the number of arguments
if(!gebi(arguments[i])) return; //Return if the object does not exist
document.body.removeChild(gebi(arguments[i])); //Remove the element from the body
}
}

Enjoy :D

So, yesterday my boards officially got over. It was one of those perfect days. I came home just changed my clothes, and went off to Spice, there I had one yes just one slice of Pizza, cause everyone else had eaten everything else! From there we headed to Amoeba, which is a video game parlor, from there to CSM, then McD’s, then Spice again and then Aastha’s home. I could bee my own apartment from her apartment’s ceiling. We clicked loads of photographs. Then we cam down chatted and stuff, clicked more photographs and then played hide and seek :D.
It was so much fun, even though Aastha thought that I was getting bored all the time but, I was having the time of my life. Even though it is kind of true, that my definition of fun, is very different, but I still enjoy hanging around with my friends. :-)

So, as my boards are officially getting over on 28th there are many people who are having different kinds of celebrations. I was invited to three different of these celebrations. First one was a LAN Party at Sify, mainly for Need For Speed Underground 2 against my best friend Avi. The second one is a general hang at Purneetha’s place with all my friends from 8-C. The third one too is like a hang but in the Mall, and at Aastha’s place. Even though it was a tough decision, I have decided to go to Aastha’s place, as I wont be able to return from Puni’s place, and I know that Avi will win every single race :p

Today, I was going to the market to get some groceries and came across the worst political campaign ever. There was a car that was going at about 70 km/ph on a road that does not allow more than 50 km/ph I suppose. The people inside them were brats, kind of like parts of small gangs. They were playing extremely loud and very bad music. Their car was full of stickers of the guy who saw fighting the election with the background of the tri-color. Everyone was squeezed inside the car and were throwing out the pamphlets, that were similar to the stickers.

So this is what the campaign was about. It was against every single thing that the guy fighting the election was against. I am not sure, if the person fighting the election is aware of this, and most probably he is, doesn’t he realize that all this is STUPID, and it anyone who sees this wont give him any votes?

Yup! Thats true my boards are unofficially over. I had my science exam today and after that I only have a stupid MCQ on 28th. I dont need to worry about that. Since two monts I have been turning down Web Design jobs and my own projects telling everyone that I would do anything after 24th. Its here! But I dont know why I dont feel as happy as I thought that I would be. Actually, no one was, everyone was happy but they were as happy as they were when the first exam go over.

I havent made any plans or checklist of the thing that I should do after this, like I always do, but I know it. there are just so many things that I am not sure from where to start. Well! Right now I am sitting with Avi’s class ninth Science Book trying to understand the laws of Motion and gravitation form my new game :)!

Nirtome - Frost Bite

Nitrome is a London based company that makes Flash games. I know that there is nothing new about that. But the reason that I really like them is because they use isometric pixel art for most of there games. For example in Frost Bite even though the objects are not isometric they still have pixel art. There website has a mixture of the famous glass effect and isometric pixel art, as you would see in the upper left corner where they have put there company’s logo and stuff. Games such as Tanked Up have isometric pixel art. Some of there games have concepts that I have never seen before and are very interesting. Games such as Scribble is very interesting and so is Rolly Polly.

Hello World!

Yes thats the word “Hello World”. A Hello World program just prints out “Hello World!” to the output. It is used as an introduction to several programming languages. This tradition was starting by the book, “The C Programming Language” by Brian Kernighan. Here is the first “Hello World!” program -

main() {
printf("hello, world");
}

So this is my introduction to the blogging world!
